It didn't take long!
On the 6th day after
hanging a couple of Acorn Woodpeckers discover
the house

first glimpse of an Acorn Woodpecker's beak.

At the bottom of the bird house you'll notice 3"-4" of wood
shavings from the chain saw work left behind for bedding material.

With some luck a pair of woodpeckers will use the house to
raise some little ones and we'll have a chance to see the
