To The family, friends and co-workers of Mike Mckay

It is with a heavy heart, that Laura and I announce the passing of our son Michael Vincent McKay in an avalanche yesterday.  Funeral arrangements are pending, and information will be posted here and throughout the community as they became known.

Mike was loved by many and we will be mourning his loss for ever.

We will be accepting visitors throughtout the day at our home, should personal greetings wish to be extended.  His sister Hannah is home from UCSB too, should any of her friends wish to contact her, and Mike's grandparents David and Sheryl Ogilvie are also at our home now.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, and our thanks to the rescuers who helped in this time of need.

I met your son after I rescued his dog.  I will always remember his uniqueness.  Mike had a loving, caring, natural way about him. He made such an impact on me in that short amount of time, that I can only imagine the legacy he has left behind to his family and close friends. He will be missed.
