Fires

Has Wrightwood ever been threatened by wildfires?  Considering you all are in such a dry area, and with massive fires periodically in the news in the LA area, have these ever affected Wrightwood?

I guess I should clarify.   Has there ever had to be an evacuation because a fire was roaring down (or up Hwy 2) threatening to engulf the town?

This picture was from the Blue Cut fire last year that got close enough for me, although I heard that the one they all call the Boy Scout fire was a lot closer.

Wow, that was scary!  I imagine homeowner's insurance is staggering because of that!
