PICKING UP BABY BIRDS
« on: Jun 21, 03, 07:27:28 AM »
Please be careful not to pick up newly fledged baby birds....

Fledglings have left the nest (fully feathered for the most part) to learn to fly.

Often the parent birds are keeping an eye on them and feeding them.

Last week while visiting three different private homes in the San Fernando Valley crows were attacking animals and people while trying to safeguard their grounded fledglings.

Many kind people do not understand that if they touch or take these youngsters they lose their parent's care.

GOOD LUCK!
