Septic Service
« on: Aug 08, 24, 10:09:00 AM »
Who has a good recommendation for a good septic service.  I've been in my house going on 8 years now and haven't had it serviced.  I'm assuming I'm about due.  Looking for an inspection and I assume a pump out.

Thanks.

I've used Septic Control twice, once in 2014 when we bought the house, and again about a year ago.  They changed owners between the two calls, and I liked the new people better.

I'll probably call them again in 2028 or thereabouts.

If you don't have risers over the access panels, you're going to pay them to locate and dig no matter what.  Might as well have them pump it.

At 5 years, our system was fine, but we're very careful about what goes down the drain.  If it's edible it can go into the septic, but things like coffee grounds don't break down.

I used Daniel Meredith Plumbing back in April for a septic pump and hydro jet of the mainline from a commercial kitchen. At the time they did a good job at a reasonable price for the work performed. They were also very responsive. I called at 9pm and they were there the next morning by 10am.
The owner has since died in a tragic accident but the family has continued the business.

These guys are also highly recommended but I don't know if they have their own pumper truck or they contract with someone else. I have not used them personally... yet.
