Buffalo appear on Line Pine Canyon again
Wrightwood:
Approximately a month ago Wrightwood Fire, CHP and Fish and Game were looking for 3 Buffalo on Lone Pine Canyon and never located them.
Again today, reports of 3 Buffalo began to come in.
It turns out that the owners of Clyde's Ranch indeed own 3 Buffalos and are hoping to breed them. (2 females and 1 male)
The large shaggy-maned No. American bison found their way out of the fencing again. The 2 females are in heat and are tuff to keep fenced in.
This late afternoon telephoto shot was taken as owners attempted to heard the 3 Buffalos back home. :-[
KW:
Wow! I wonder what would be worse when you're driving down Lone Pine at 55mph, hitting a deer or hitting a buffalo? (and of course, none of us are going over 55 down Lone Pine, right???)
And John, you are EVERYWHERE with that camera of yours - thanks!

Now that IS a picture worth a thousand words. Not many people have seen a sight like that.
Please be careful on Lone Pine Canyon. Even if you don't see these fury beasts someone else ahead of you may have just seen one and driven off the road in astonishment!
Thanks for that Pic John.
WWMtnGal:
Wow! The Webmaster is on it again! What a great picture! That is so cool to be able to see Buffalo so close to home! Everyone be careful on Lone Pine (we should be careful anyway) but especially since they are so large. They are beautiful!
;D
WWRatOut:
You will WISH you hit a deer if you run into one of these! It will be like running into a solid wall! Thanks for the photographic proof of their existence, John... We all appreciate your getting around and getting the big picture to us! THANKS!
