San Bernardino County Fire is in Wrightwood, California.

One Adult & Two Dogs Rescued after Wrightwood Fall
This afternoon San Bernardino County Fire crews were dispatched to a reported Rescue near the end of Acorn, Wrightwood. 911 callers stated an adult female and two dogs had slipped and fell down a steep embankment on a trail.

Arriving personnel hiked approximately one mile in snowy conditions to make access to where the trio were reported. They found them down approximately 200 feet from the trail, stuck down in an icy canyon. Due to weather in the area, rescue crews were unable to utilize helicopters for reconnaissance or a hoist rescue.

Crews worked to safely access the dogs and female then hiked them to safety. After getting back to the vehicles the female patient was assessed for minor injuries and declined transport. Both dogs were uninjured.
San Bernardino County Fire responded with two Engines, a Rescue, an Ambulance and a Battalion Chief.
