Yes, all true. There are also search engines that will search the entire "webosphere" for your personal exif data. This comes in handy if you are trying to copyright or protect pictures. Exif data also can be hidden, changed or manipulated.
Many camera also include GPS connections and uplinks that will add coordinates to the Exif data. Just be aware of what your shots tell strangers. My shots posted here for the last year or so have the EXIF data removed. EXIF data can be real handy for the amateur photographer that wonders how someone took a shot as it canl tell aperture, shutterspeed, and focal information.
