Awww, Chuck, what a precious, gorgeous baby!  Congrats!  How old is Winnie?  She looks sooo much like my little Petey did as a puppy - we got him in 1986 and he went to doggy heaven in 1999.  Doxies are the only dogs I've ever had, and I just love them!  My baby is a tiny black and tan short-haired one, she will be 3 on May 30.  Love those wiener dogs!

She is a cutey, Chuck. I guess your bride now knows about your crush on the character in the "Wonder Years". ;) Please don't train her to growl at me when I come around to give you a hard time. ;D

That's Winnie as in Pooh because she looks like a fat little cinnamon bear.  Come meet her and be prepared for a royal greeting full of licks.

I look forward to meeting her. Chuck told me he would try to get you to believe that Winnie the Pooh story.  ;);D

Saw this big rattler up on 3N1 today.  This is such a pretty place up this road...  I'm glad I went exploring....

Quite a day, SurferDude brought me a baby squirrel which I met Tonya from WMS and gave it too, she fed it with a small small bottle and will keep it alive until it is ready to release!  Saw a snake and saw a small bob cat, (the size of a small dog) on LPC.

Well, I am not a rattlesnake lover...got bit by one at age 10 and almost died...But as for that "Winnie", she is the cutest  and sweetest little dog I have ever known.  It makes my day, any day I get to see her.   Licks and cuddles and the softest warmest belly ever.

That's a decent timber rattler.
It's time to get out the tall boots and snake gaters...
Came across one myself today....
Couldn't get my camera out in time.
They are so considerate to let us know when we get too close...
It's better that stepping on them!

That's about what happened to me...or I just got too close...and of course, it rattled
AFTER it bit me...I'll freak if I run into one hiking up here.

Angelwolf, it looks like that snake lost part of its tail.
Not enough rattles for a snake that size.

Each time they come out of hibernation, they shed their skin, and with each skin shedding (molting) a new rattle appears. During the rapid growth of the first few years, they may molt three times annually. Thus, the number of rattles is not a true indicator of age. Rattles also wear out or break off, so it is unusual to find an adult snake with more than 8 or 10 rattles.
