I thought it was near scat in the middle of the street in front my house. Now I know. Good video!

Bear scat, not near scat. That's what I get for trying to post from my phone.

I remember seeing deer in town in the very early 70's and then they became very scarce.  Seems like the population has rebounded and is doing well.

It's my understanding that it's a male bear and goes by the name of Stan Bearowitz according to the Cardinal neighborhood.

I've lived on the ridge here above Palmdale for just over 30 years.  I take a lot of photos of the ever changing views.  Friday morning my dog notified me someone was at the patio door.  It was two men one was holding a place card that said "FBI".  As I leashed the dog I thought to myself.. this is going to be interesting.  They said they were with the FBI and investigating someone taking high resolution photographs of aircraft at Plant 42 for nefarious reasons.

Lots ran through my mind..  They went on to ask about my neighbors and if I had ever seen anyone with a long lens taking photos from here on the ridge.  I told them no never.

So now I can say I've had the Secret Service and the FBI come to my front door.

They were friendly and non-threatening but when I made a comment about a few of my photographs being on the Area 51 site.  They said "What's that".

yeah right.. Seems they raided the webmaster who took pictures off my site 23 years ago.
