Note to self, leave the radio on in an emergency. I didn't hear anyone, so I shut the HT off.
That won't happen again...

If you are ever down the hill in the basin during a quake turn on the 147.705 machine on Oat Mt. It's the hang out of the Southern California Earthquake Net. THE place to go for the fastest and most reliable info.

Thanks for the info Clint. I was wondering where I would tune into if I weren't up here in Wrightwood and was back at home in Burbank. I often listen in on the Papa system via Oat Mountain and can easily hear transmissions from that mountain anywhere in the San Fernando Valley.
