The first photo of Swarthout National Forest Highway was obtained through the Wrightwood Historical Museum files. Additonal thank and gratitude goes to historian Barbara Van Houten and her deep knowledge of Big Pines history.

What an incredible body of work!!  People forget that we have visitors to the area for so many years.  Wonderful accounts.

As a relatively new (4 years) WW resident, it is wonderful to read these accounts, and marvel at the ways that our town has developed over the decades.

Thanks Terry!
