Title: Orange skies to the south!!

Is it just me or does the sky look especially orange, like a fire behind the mountain orange? Maybe I'm just paranoid. I'm over on Flume Cyn. Rd.~anyone else?? To the south??

I saw it, too.

It was a gorgeous apricot-colored sunset.

Ok then I'm not crazy. From where my house is I can't see the sunsets, but wow it blew up the sky tonight!!

Don't know for certain, but it may have been due to the smoke from the Malibu fires. Devastating things, but they do create beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

I was coming home from Barstow at the time. The cloud formation was coming up the pass and fanned out over the Victor Valley it didn't really look like smoke. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me. The entire sky over Phelan and Baldy Mesa looked like it was on fire. A really beautiful site.

I had my camera, I thought it was gorgeous!  I captured it at about 5pm....

Having a camera is like having my car keys, my purse and my cell phone.....  I always have one with me, you NEVER know what you will see.  There is always SOMETHING to take a picture of...  Some of my best pics are from the fwy or even my work parking lot..  LOL

Those pictures were at just the perfect moment too. I've seen some great sunsets off my back deck and by the time I go in the house to tell someone about it and come back out, the colors are not the same.
