Hello,
I am a ham who's moving to Wrightwood next weekend. I've been a ham for about 14 years and an Amateur Extra for 12. I haven't been too active lately, but hope to get on the air more once I'm in my new home.
My primary operating interests are QRP CW and CW contesting, but I do have a 2 meter radio and am interested in taking part in local nets or activities. Anyone have any nearby repeaters they recommend I monitor? I only have an HT for VHF right now.
Also, if anyone is interested in having a CW ragchew sometime, I should be on 20, 30, and 40 meters in a few weeks once I get set up.
73,
Jason

There is a HF net also. It is on Sundays at 5:45 p.m. Go to KW6ww.com and send a request to the web master to signup for the weekly info email. It has all the details listed.
Welcome to Wrightwood!

I have a list of 2M repeaters that I've programmed into my VX-150 that I've developed from various sources. This list has many from around the Southland, and a few for travels up I-5, the SF Bay Area, north to Santa Rosa.
If interested, send me a PM.
And, welcome home!

Didn't see your post until now....welcome.
Got my Xtra in '95 and worked my cw up to about 25 or so to pass the 20. I use to operate a lot of cw but have slacked off and a little rusty. Got burned out on contests but still paricipate in a few. I like working special interest stations because they usually have a historic or other good purpose involving getting kids interested in the hobby. My favorite sit down operations are rag chews and DX chasing.
