Ok it's time to fess-up, who's bottom has this paddle graced in Wrightwood ? :buckteeth:
The paddle was recently discovered in an old rental house in Whittier and definitely has some history behind it. The Wrightwood, Calif name has been on it for years and is not something new.
Where it say's Victims Sign Here it's easy to make out a Jeff, J.F., Jason, S.F., Jim and others.
Does anyone have any history on it?

Nah, looks more like it's from the era my husband went to Wrightwood Elementary. More than likely he received a swat or two....

And there in lies the problems of disruption and disrespect in the schools today.
We would never think to act up for fear of that paddle and then another one when we got home. :o

Boy is that ever the truth.
A few days ago we were talking about this with our kids (older) and I think they were surprised to hear about the old days of paddles at school.
I remember weekly Letterman Club meetings when swats were auctioned off to raise funds. Now that's called hazing.
