After all the recent rain and low elevation snow I think the Angeles National Forest should consider lowering the fire danger level to 1. Fire season is over and they should recognize that it is over. I think it is silly to graduate backwards in the danger scale when it is obvious that the fire season has ended for all of california.

Would keeping the fire danger level raised, cost more ?

There is no cost associated with raising or lowering the fire danger levels. I think it is prudent to display the proper fire danger level during the fire season but now that the fire season is over it should be lowered to level 1. Do you really think we could have a large forest fire anywhere on the Angeles after all this rain and snow. I have seen many times in the last twenty years when the media will have front page pictures of the fire danger signs on "High" or "Extreme" and the signs are covered in snow. The media always likes to get a cheap laugh from the forest service during the transition of the seasons.
