Can anyone tell me the current conditions of Jackson Lake? I was wondering if the lake is defrosted yet and how much snow is around the lake, if any at all.
Thanks!!

Yup, pretty much defrosted. I see people fishing on both sides of the lake every time I drive by.

Thanks Bob C.!! We have a group of boy scouts going up soon and didn't want them to be up there in dangerous icy conditions.

Generally, when is a good time of year to fish at Jackson Lake? My husband's uncle wants to teach our son.

Be extra alert with kids near any ice

The BEST time is right after they've stocked the lake. This is usually done every other Thursday between Memorial Day and October. Check the website for the current stocking schedule:

I learned to fish in Jackson Lake over 50 years ago, and it sure helped that I was catching fish on my first try. ;D
