This application allows you to create a comprehensive family communications plan for any emergency situation. You can save your plan as a PDF as well as print and share your plan with the members of your family and other emergency contacts.

The form below allows you to create email text containing basic emergency information that you can share with others. The form includes your contact information, your emergency contact, your out-of-town contact, and your neighborhood meeting place. Once you've entered in the information into the fields below, the application will generate the text that you can easily copy and paste into an email to send to the family and/or friends who you'd contact in the event of an emergency.

I also think it is a good idea to store some information in the "cloud." Before going on a trip I upload information (passport copies etc.) to a free box.net account so that I can access it anywhere. I'm sure everyone has some documents they'd like to have a copy of if they didn't have access to the original.
