I call them "flying termites".  We get swarms of them during the first Hot day here in Burbank.  Doesn't mean an investation, but they are doing their thing to colonize.

I just found a bunch of these little creatures in my back yard while digging a water line.  I knew I'd read about them somewhere.....  Guess where  ???  Yep, here!
