Where is this? I know that pit toilets are illegal in LA County, don't know about other counties....

Twenty feet deep and no shoring? He's lucky he didn't get "all covered up".

If you're like me and google things you want more info on, please be aware that I just googled "Pit Toilet" and a very disturbing photo came up of a decomposing fetus at, what appears to be, the bottom of a pit toilet.
