It occured to me that Gatorade or it's equivalent wold be great to have in the disaster preparedness kit. Replacing some electolytes may be needed since you wouldn't necessarily be eating well, hydrated, or someone could already be sick when disaster strikes.
Lowes had a large bag of powdered Gatorade type stuff that construction workers could use in a 5 gallon dispenser for $7.70 right at the checkout. I liked that it was in a bag making it easier to pack in a kit. Just thought i'd share in case you wanted to pick some up for your supplies.
