MAFFS (Modular Airborne Fire Fighting Systems) from 146th Air Wing, Air National Guard at Port Hueneme have been asked to join the fight.

From the MAFFS-Air Expeditonary Group FB page:

We have received a request for two MAFFS aircraft to help fight wildland fires in California and the Northwestern United States. The request from the U.S. Forest Service National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho, asks that the aircraft be ready to receive launch orders by noon Pacific time on Monday. The aircraft will come from the 146th Airlift Wing, California Air National Guard, and will operate from their home base at Channel Islands, Port Hueneme, Calif.
