Just found out about this: a map of all energy projects in this part of CA, whether proposed, approved, under review, or whatever. Article:
http://www.kcet.org/news/rewire/technology/now-you-can-find-energy-projects-proposed-for-your-neighborhood.html?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_term=141027energymaps&utm_campaign=rewire
- and a link to the map itself: http://www.energymaps.org/map/default.htm (Scroll down in any category on the left to see the whole list - some are pretty long.)
Personally I am horrified to think that someone wants to put huge wind turbines on NATIONAL FOREST land at 138 and 15 - the Cleghorn Ridge Wind project, 3520 acres, "under review", by Pattern Energy Group LP. The better-known Phelan Solar One project is in the same category, CA Energy Commission Projects. That Cleghorn project would totally close all the many roads there to public off-road access.
I never had any idea so many projects had been put into the approval process. I guess that's the point of this map - awareness.

I believe I recall that project being discussed on this forum. Last I recall the project was killed, IIRC.

That project was rejected by San Bernardino National Forest quite a few months ago (or a year ago?) I was in a meeting with the forest supervisor, Jodi Noiron, when she talked about it. But I can't remember when the meeting was held! (I go to too many meetings with government agencies!) ;D
