Title: CS-700 DMR Radio - Programming Tips

It was suggested at the "DMR Coffee Talk and Demo" meeting this last Saturday that questions and answers or tips for programming the "code plug" for the CS-700 could be shared here on the forum.  This will be the place to do that.

The information on the Basic Information page in the software does not have to be entered.  Upon loading your CS-700 radio with your code plug this information is received, overwritten and populated automatically from the radio:

Some have asked how to have the radio display a person's Call Sign or Name instead of just the Radio ID # when talking to that person.  What the Radio shows on the display is handled by the "Digital Contacts" list.  When a Talk Group number or a Radio ID number is added to this list in the "Call ID" field, whatever information is contained in the "Contact Name" field will be displayed on the radio.
