As vehicles got more and more mileages out of a tank of gas/diesel, less and less tax revenue came in.   All electric vehicles get in totally free of gas tax increases.   The part I dont like is in order to get Republican support, civil engineers are given immunity if they did shoddy job crafting highways and bridges and the like. So drive at your own peril.
