CAJON PASS >> A wildfire is burning along the 15 Freeway north of the Cleghorn Road exit in the Cajon Pass area Sunday, according to San Bernardino County Fire Department tweets.

Named the Tower fire, the blaze is about 150 acres and about 10 percent contained, according to a tweet from the San Bernardino National Forest. It was first reported about 4:30 p.m.

The fire is burning on the east side of the freeway and moving north toward the 138 Highway exit. Traffic on the 15 has slowed through the area.

County fire and Cal Fire are helping battle the blaze.

Incident Overview

The Tower Fire is currently burning on The San Bernardino National Forest near Cleghorn and Interstate 15.

The fire is moving in a northerly direction and has spread across 200 acres of National Forest land.

The U.S. Forest Service with assistance from San Bernardino County Fire and San Bernardino CalFire to contain the fire.

Fire is burning through light to medium brush/chaparral in the Cajon Pass area.
