So does this apply to entrance to towns like Wrightwood, or just to things like trails? Sounds like it applies to entering at all. That last exclusion is sneaky too lol.

tt2468, that does apply to Wrightwood. There is (and has been) a checkpoint at the 2/138, you have to show your driver's license to continue. They said they'll be there through Sunday eve. He also said to make sure to run all your errands, because they expect that to be a backed up nightmare this weekend...

Wrightwood is not in the San Bernardino National Forest. Is there any official word on our specific area regarding opening?

The dividing line between the Angeles National Forest and the San Bernardino National Forest occurs at Boundary Ridge, near the upper S curves of Lone Pine Canyon Road. The San Bernardino is east of there, and the Angeles is west of there.
Wrightwood, proper, is in the San Gabriel Mountains, on the west side of the Cajon Pass.
The San Bernardino Mountains are on the east side of the Cajon Pass.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. I hope they consider our area and not just the Big Bear area. But this is a wakeup call for a major disaster like an earthquake.

OK, disregard my post above!  I was self-uninformed LOL.  My coffee had not kicked in yet.   ;D

Zero enforcement of the closure at LPC. Saw multiple vehicles driving around the barricades this evening.
