Title: First QSO!

I decided to take my radio to work, and was listening about 0620L on Thursday.  Got my first QSO, with a gentleman from Rosamond.

Apparently they called out my sign during Thursday's Grub Grabbers net checkin, but since I have to be at work at 0700L, I didn't hear it.

Has anyone else been out on the airwaves yet, and if so, when was your "first time"?

I've got the batteries charging on the new radios and haven't had a chance to program them yet.

Matt,

They only call your call sign after you've checked in three consecutive times. So they would not have been calling yours. Probably someone close to yours.

I heard Susan on Saturday and she sounded like an old pro  8)

While I was in the San Dimas area this morning I got my feet wet and spoke with Larry KE6EOL  - Eats Others Lunches.

I've met Larry before and when he heard my call sign he knew it was a fresh one  ;)
