Seen a few cool looking window decals on the back of a few vehicles that say Wrightwood on the bottom and have a cool mountain/tree/house above it. Does anyone know where they sell them? Thanks
-
I got mine at the Village Grind for $5, but last I heard they might be out of them.
-
I got mine from the maker. I'll ask her if she is still making them. ;)
-
Thanks I appreciate it. If the maker is still making them, can you find out who is selling them. Thanks again
-
Sorry Fireman, they won't sell you one. The rules state you need to live here for at least three winters. I applied for one and will be getting it soon. ;) (I'll be clear here....I am just kidding!)
-
Im glad your kidding Surfer Dude, I think it would look great on the back of my lifted golf cart
-
I'm re-opening this topic in hopes that someone can tell me who made those stickers six years ago! I have seen a couple on cars around town and would be interested in getting one (without the words on top). The house and tree art is very cool.
-
I've heard that hobbes is working on a car sticker. Just sayin'...
-
Sweet. What's taking him so long? ???
-
I have an older version of Printmaster Gold, and it has an image that looks just like (or very similar to) the one on the decal. I made address labels and Christmas cards with it one year.
-
Just remember, Hobbes is an older version, trying to work on a newer version. ;)
-
Hi all, hobbes has completed a new Wrightwood Car Window Decal and it will be going to the manufacturer soon. Stay tuned for its release date. I'm kinda excited about this... 8)
-
Can't wait to see it!
-
I just realized Nolena made fun of me! Now I am sad, sniffle, sniffle....
-
Don't take ANYTHING Nolena says seriously! She doesn't have a serious bone in her body! That is why we love her so much. She's nuts. :2thumbsup:
-
I resemble that remark. ;)

Okay gang, the decals have been ordered. I plan to sell them at cost so everybody better buy one!!! I've been set back $500.00 for 100 decals! I will let you know when they arrive and we will have a sale day at the Village Grind! Perhaps some music too?!!!
-
I'm ready to buy some. any pre-views?
-
Hook me up, buddy!
I have an old one on the back of my truck, but since I installed a camper shell, no one can see that sticker. And I'm not about to remove it!
I will be in line to purchase the new ones, when they arrive.
Peace

Hello Folks, Well, anyone who knows the quality of hobbes' illustrations probably won't want one of the new Wrightwood Car Decals! LOL! Okay, seriously, hobbes has decided not to release a preview of the Wrightwood decal! Call it a test of Faith of all you Wrightwoodian's out there. But I will tell you a bit about them. First, hobbes has not seen previous Wrightwood decals; this is an original design. They will be vinyl cut decals that apply to the outside of your vehicle window, and are made of quality materials. hobbes himself is so proud of the design that he will have one on each of his vehicles, and believes that you will be proud to have one too. Only 100 decals have been ordered at this time and will be sold for five dollars each, which is my cost for the decals. I am doing this as a gift to our great town!
If they sell out fast, I will order more, but they will be priced higher, so now is the time to get yours at cost!
We will be having a "Decal Day" at the Village Grind after the decals arrive, but if you are a person of faith, and want to guarantee one or more decals for yourself, then take five dollars cash for each decal to the Village Grind and they will pre sale them to you.
Isn't this fun?
-
Well, The decals are on their way! I expect them some time next week and then a date will be set for Decal Day at the Village Grind! Stay tuned!

I don't know what's harder, the waiting for the decals or doing the math here! ;)
-
Guess you'd better stick to cooking Pac-Fan! Let's see, I have 500 baby tomatoes and want to divide them equally among 100 dinner guests...
-
Wow! Tracking shows that the decals should be here soon!!! Keep watch because it looks like decal day at the Village Grind may be next weekend!!! And to those who have already purchased a decal sight unseen and have faith in ol' hobbes to capture the spirit of Wrightwood on a car window decal, I say, "Yooooou're Awwwwwesoooooome!!!!!!! Meanwhile, ol' hobbes has decided to release the Wrightwood Car Window decal artwork. It is somewhere on the internet for you to find if you can not wait till the real thing arrives. I just ask a couple of things, do not attempt to print or repost the image, and let others have the fun of finding the image on their own! Let's have some fun here! 8)

Welll, ol' hobbes is happy to announce that the Wrightood window decals have arrived! That's right folks, the decals are here and I'm proud to say they look great! Already there is less than 100 decals left after hobbes put one on each of his vehicles, put one on a window at the Village Grind, and saved a few for future use. So if you want to get one (and if you have pride in living in Wrightwood, then I know you will) you'd better get down to the Village Grind and put in your pre sale order!!!
Or you can take a chance and wait for Decal Day at The Village Grind, which will be this Sunday, November 11th, starting at High Noon!
I am selling them at my cost for the decals, only five dollars each, so please bring cash, at less than 100 decals they are sure to go fast!
-
I put my money down for three - one for each car! It is very nice - simple yet elegant!
-
Don't forget tomorrow is Decal Day at the Village Grind at High Noon! Come get your Wrightwood car window decal and show your Pride in our Town!!!
-
I agree with the design, it is so simple that it is perfect for Wrightwood. I purchased one for my can, but my Jeep has a soft top and will the decal stay on the vinyl windows?
-
I purchased one for my can,
Maybe Hobbes will install this one himself. ;D
-
Right after the Veterans' ceremony.
-
I have one on the window NEAR my can, but I don't think it would show up ON my can, because both the sticker, and my can, are white. And where would you install it so it would be seen anyway?...
but seriously, I designed the decal to reflect the spirit of Wrightwood, and I believe everyone will be proud to put one on their car. Come by the Village Grind tomorrow at High Noon cause I think they're gonna sell fast!
-
Hobbes, I won't be there at noon today, but I did leave money for three, so don't sell mine, okay? Lynn
-
:flagwave: Today is the Day!!! Hi everybody, Head on over to the Veteran's Memorial Service at eleven am, then come on over to the Village Grind at High Noon for Decal Day!!! Show your pride in this great town you live in and put a cool Wrightwood decal on your car window!!! They are only five dollars each! :check:
-
I guess I need to clean my glasses, so I can read my posts. I purchased one for my "car", and would like to get one for my jeep, but will the decal stay on a vinyl window?
-
Sorry DustyDuck, we simply could not resist teasing you a bit! My best answer is; I don't know. The decals are designed to go on glass or smooth surfaces. The adhesive bonds well if the surface is cleaned properly before application. But I don't know how it would do on a vinyl window, because I believe that over time, they become a bit porous.
For those who don't know; to apply the decal, clean your window in the application area well with rubbing alcohol on a clean rag or paper towel. Then go back over the area with water on a clean rag or paper towel, then wipe the surface dry with a clean rag or paper towel. Carefully peel off the decal backing, align the decal and smooth into place. Rub on all the decal vinyl to ensure good adhesion and to push out any trapped air bubbles, you can even use a credit card to help with this, finally, carefully peel off the cover paper and admire your awesome new Wrightwood Decal!!!
-
Decals are selling quickly! Come on down! :2thumbsup:
-
Decal Day at the Village Grind was a lot of fun. If you missed out, there are still some Wrightwood decals available. Stop by the Village Grind to see the Wrightwood Decal on their window, and they are available for five bucks a piece. They make great Christmas Card inserts! Don't wait till shop at home, get yours now and don't miss out! 8)
-
We bought ours today! Great design Hobbes!
-
Thanks!!! I am planning to be at the Village Grind for shop at home night this Friday. Come on by to get your decal, they make great inserts for Christmas cards. They are going pretty fast...
-
I saw one today on a friend's car, and agree that the decals are totally cool! Question - since the decal goes on the outside of the window, how does it hold up if you take the car to a car wash?
-
They hold up great!
-
I put one on my window, and it looks great!
The only problem is, now I have to wash the rest of the car. ;)
-
Does anyone still sell the Wrightwood window decals that were being sold at the Village Grind a few months back? Looking to get my hands on one...
-
I dropped off the last ten at the Village Grind about a week ago. If you hurry, there should be a few left!
-
Wonderful! I will give it a shot.
Thanks!
