Yes there is damage to my truck.  The insurance company for Goodyear will be contacted tomorrow morning as I take my truck to our body guy.

The front bumper needs to be replaced, the front DS quarter panel and fender, the driver door, the hood and the brake dust cover so far.  Once the mechanic looks through everything we will know forsure.

I had noticed those guys also.
Maybe more appropriate if it was the 3 Stooges  ::)

By the time word got out about the truck the staff from the Auto Zone had come by, the neighboring fast food joints were coming by, and customers were leaving as fast as they came in.

The funny thing is they had defaced Jeff Gordon by adding a mustache and other "facial" things.

Its a 2005, and possibly totaled.  We took it into the body shop yesterday and the guy told me I should not have driven the truck because it was unsafe.  I guess I will find out soon.

Well when it fell four feet it looks like it may have tweeked the frame.  At the very least the bed and rear end are tweeked and will have to be replaced.

Also the rear axle looks like it was pushed to the right, possibly bending the frame a bit in the rear.

What was their excuse for the truck sliding off like that?

Sounds like it! I have never seen a rack like that used for changing all 4 tires. Every place we have gone uses the racks that have the arms that come out the sides of the two post and lift it up.

They were using the alignment rack, and instead of balancing the truck on the four corners they decided t balance the rear on the differential and the front on two pegs that were close together.

For the last 4 years that I had my Toyota Previa mini-van, I asked all the mechanics/tire shop guys to let my van fall!  It was turning into a money pit at the time, and I would have been happy to get rid of it this way.  Alas, no one would oblige me.  I guess I should have headed inland...

Sorry you had to deal with this rdnckgrl!

The worse part was when the body guy said it was unsafe to drive we had to FIGHT for 6 hours to get them to pay for a rental.  The business we took the truck to refused to talk to us and told us that they were not concerned with our ability to get home safely.

Great customer service huh.

My mother-in-law did not fair too well with her car on a mechanic's rack either.

The car was up on the rack and they were removing the gas tank as it had a leak.  They were using a hanging light bulb to see, when a drop of gas dripped on the bulb causing it to ignite the gas tank.

The fire consumed my mother-in-laws car as well as the entire repair shop.  One of Burbank's biggest structure fires in quite awhile.  The smoke could be seen for miles.  Nobody was injured.

Unlike your truck, there was no question as to whether the car was totalled or not.   ;D
