I guess you really need to be aware of purchasing electronic items from Craigs list. We purchased a receiver and dish, both don't work. We checked serial numbers with Dish first, all was fine, except for not working (finding out later). I guess this guy needed the money more than us?

I would hesitate to buy online, and if I am not mistaken I believe Dish leases out the boxes. Not just any box works for the service. I have 2 recievers that I used when I had Directv however they were not able to use them when i transfered to Dish.
Just a side note: I hate my Dish service, and plan to switch back to Directv as soon as my contract is up

Buyers beware!I setup an appointment 2 days ago to see this snowblower, asked to confirm appointment this morning and did, was asked to bring gas, then showed up on time and the snow blower was sold. and no attempt to even notify me! The way I work with advertised merchandise is 'first come, first served.' The buyer may have had an earlier appointment, I don't know. I'm sorry about your disappointment on the merchandise being sold.
A sure sale now is always better than a possible sale later, that is always good business ethics, IMHO.

I posted an ad in the "Free Stuff" section about 2-1/2 weeks ago, and got a response today and the items now have a new home! I actually figured out how to delete my ad, too! This a great way to find new homes for items, without going through the pains of having a yard sale. Thanks for having this feature!  |

Hi -- I have a friend who's looking to rent a small house. She has 2 dogs and needs something under $1000 a month. She can move in as soon as her app is approved. She prefers WW because she's already up here, but is willing to go to Phelan or Pinion Hills. However, she does not have a car and would need something within walking distance of a grocery store or close to a bus route.
Does anyone have a line on anything in the Tri-Communities? Thanks!

Did something happen with the classifieds recently? I've posted quite a few ads in the past and never had a problem but when I just went to post a couple new ones, it couldn't find my email address as a registered user. I had to re-register?! Were they re-set in the last 6 months or so (that's about how long its been since I've posted)?
