Stranded Gray Whale-Klamath River
So, I decide to take a break from the heavy equipment and bring just the P&S on vacation.....

Ran into a stranded Gray whale up the Klamath river and her calf in N. Cal.  I have been checking the updates, I hope they make it.

Beautiful bird, but what is that to the left of the bird?  A bumpy rock or a toad, or frog?   ???  I think I see toes in the first picture.

A giant guard frog, to scare off the stupid raccoons that stop by often around 3-5 AM trying to fish.  We fired the frog a long time ago but let it stay.

I'm guessing a roadrunner, although I've never seen one with its wings spread.

Very good lcadder...

The East African Secretary Bird stands about 4ft tall and we were amazed as we watched him kill a large snake with his huge feet. His wingspan was over 6ft ! Awesome...

That's an impressive bird!
I have always been fascinated by our Turkey Vulture. I saw one clean out a dead rabbit in a matter of minutes. They can smell roadkill/dead animals up to 13 miles away!  :o

Is that on your property, SkierBob?  You've got quite the wildlife out there!
