Wildfire News 2022
« on: Jan 11, 22, 05:48:37 PM »

I thought I would start it out with a positive post since most of the posts in these threads are not always so positive.
Great opportunity for young women interested in a Fire Fighting Career and as a father of two daughters I thought I would pass along the information on this unique opportunity.

The Bouquet Fire started on 5-30-2022 as a result of a traffic collision at Bouquet Canyon and Spunky roads.  50 plus acres and wind driven that has much potential to become a large fire.  This is in Santa Clarita area and will impact the hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail.

As of 6:30 p.m. PDT, the Bouquet Fire is currently holding in size and is currently estimated at closer to 50 acres. An airplane, helicopters, wildland fire engines, water tenders, hand crews, and other resources are on the scene still working to put the fire out.

Somebody communicate this to fire officials. There's someone flying a drone in a white in a white pickup truck on right mountain road while the helicopters are flying around trying to fight the fire.

If you can see the person - call the CHP.  CHP is closing the WB 2 at Wright Mountain Rd. Or call SB Fire.

I communicated it to the CHP guy. He said he couldn't take care of it because he has to hold his post blocking the road. I talked to the guy myself and educated him that if they see his drone they will ground the helicopters. He said he understood.
