Post by: treehugger on Sep 07, 08, 06:16:20 PM
Has anybody else lost their signal this morning, or is it just me  :-\

Treehugger, I have dish network and didn't lose any signal this morning, but I didn't check it until about 9:30am.  What I do when I get a loss of signal is see what satellite is indicated on the dialogue box that appears on my screen.  I then to go diagnostics and see what the signal strength is for that satellite.  With someone else to look at the screen, I physically move my dish back and forth until I get the strongest signal I can get (the wind moves it little by little).  As my neighbors tree gets taller and taller, it blocks my path to the satellite and my signal gets weaker and weaker.  Soon I'll need to buy a taller pole and mount it up higher (or bribe my neighbor to cut the top of his tree).  Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tip.

After 1+hr with Tech Service, it seems it's my box. New one coming this week.

1st week of NFL and I'm missing it  :'(
