Title: Cleaning Micro Fiber??
Post by: crazylady on Oct 04, 08, 12:38:30 PM
I have two couches that are Micro Fiber.  Does anyone know how to clean them?  The man who sold them to us said to use water, but can I put the covers in the washer??

I would first pull the covers off and see if there is cleaning instructions.

However, I use micro fiber towels on all my vehicles for drying after washing as well as removing an applied wax product. I toss them in the washer all the time and use a fabric softener sheet with them in the dryer. They come out like new every time with no lint.

Do not wash them with any other garment, not even a t-shirt, and espeicially a cotton towel or you'll have lint trapped in them that will take forever to remove.

A friend of mine takes her covers off and puts them in the washer, then hang dries them outside. I have microfiber as well but haven't washed them yet. Just spot cleaning with water so far.
