There are 3 racoons living under our cabin and I have had no luck in trapping them.
I have a large trap. I have watched the mama racoon enter the trap and gingerly step over and around the spring loaded pad that snaps the cage door shut
I have also used the coyote powder that is suppose to work, but doen't seen to have any effect.
Any ideas out there?

Use a piece of cheese cloth and put your bait inside -like peanut butter. Then suspend the cheese cloth from the top of the trap towards the rear. The raccoon has a better chance of tripping the pad as they work on trying to get to the bait free.

Thanks - I'll try that tonight!

If you trap Mom and separate her from her young, the youngsters may die. If the young are old enough that they go with Mom when she ventures out at night, wait until they are ALL out from under the house and secure the entrance so they can't get back in.

10.4 on that! Our intent is not to injure or kill them.
