Yes, I know that I go on and on about Winco, but if you've never been, I promise you will save money on groceries.
The new one is located off of Roy Rogers at the 15.....just past Civic Center.
It's a fabulous store with really great prices. I promise you won't be disappointed.
It's a zoo as they just opened up yesterday, but give it a try.
-
I love WINCO!!! ;D They have a really good deal on the mixed greens salad and you can't get it at Staters. I also love their bulk section, it's fabulous!!
-
never been yet but my daughter said it is the best especially for canned goods....... will try soon.........
-
I have been to the Winco in Apple Valley while visiting my son and it is really a good store. The prices were just awesome and the choices were very nice. What a wonderful addition to the High Desert.
-
I went to Winco in Fontana last week for the first time. There was one phrase that kept coming out of my mouth as I went thru every single aisle...."Oh my Gosh!"
I bought some things I normally couldn't afford to buy because they were a great price. I am going back to Fontana tomorrow to get some more. I'll start going to the one in Victorville when the crowds settle down a little.
Staters is now the store I go to when I need milk or bananas.
-
What about meat? Is their meat quality any good? I love the prices at Superior Market in Fontana, but their meat usually has a lot of fat on it so that your paying for that extra fat. Is the produce quality better than Staters? Does it last longer than a couple of days? Or is it just a store to stock up on canned and dry goods?
-
I got some really neat looking pork that I put in the freezer. Their chicken prices were ok. Foster farms, I think. The bacon in the deli section was nicely priced and I got string cheese for a great price. I bought a lot of produce and it all seemed good and we're still eating it. It's been a week. The onions were on sale for 18 cents a pound. I bought several of them also.
No, I bought just about everything I usually buy from Staters and saved money. I would say I saved about $30 or more. The bread I need (diet) is $4.19 at Staters, was $3.30something. Milk and eggs are nicely priced.

I found in general everything seemed to be lower in price and the quality seemed very good. The meat and seafood section was really nice and when you to to a seafood section at a store and it DOES NOT smell like seafood that is a PLUS! It was very clean and the prices were really awesome.

For those of us who use the convenience of a credit card for most purchases, I noticed in their ad, that was in our PO Box, that they do not take any credit cards. If you are going to make a big purchase at their store, you better have enough cash or funds in your debit or checking account to cover it.
-
Do they take debit cards? I never carry cash.
Do they have pet food and kitty litter?
-
Yes and Yes.
-
Going North on the 15, exit Roy Rogers and turn left or right?
-
Left or West ;)
-
Thanks!!! I'll be there bright and early to check it out!!
-
I was looking at their paper. Some of the prices are too good to be true. I'm so there tomorrow between my soccer games. If the prices are good enough, I might not need to go to Costco anymore. They don't take credit cards either so it doesn't make a difference whether I give my money to Winco or Costco.
-
Be prepared to wait in line...I heard it was crazy! :-\
-
Oh. I didn't think about that. Depending on when the tournament games start, I may only have an hour or maybe two to be there. Looks like it will have to wait.
-
Even the one in Apple Valley was busy. I think people are going WINCO crazy this weekend!
-
I went to the Apple Valley location on a Friday afternoon and it was not too busy. The isles are wide and the store is laid out really spacious so it was really nice.
The pricing is wonderful!!
-
I agree that the store is great, but I think all the hype this weekend is making both stores busier than usual. A friend of mine was at the Apple Valley store yesterday and stood in line for a while and it was packed! :o

great prices at Winco
The coupons in the ad we got in our po box were good deals.
-
You know, there is a winco in fontana too. Corner of cherry and foothill. Driving distance is about the same.
-
I went to the new WINCO yesterday and was not surprised at how busy it was. CRAZY, packed, but everyone seemed to be nice about it and the employees were helpful and sympathetic.
My sister could not find a cart anywhere and she and I shared one until we found someone who was done with theirs. While we were waiting in line (20 minutes! :o)I saw a lady swipe a cart that had items in it. She just walked up and started taking things out and putting them on the shelf as she was strolling away. Talk about desperation!! ::)
-
Remember that you have to bag your own groceries, so take help. If you use your own bags you get .7 per bag.
Love Winco!!!!
Cathy they do not carry premium pet food, only supermarket quality junk. :)
Love the meat, produce and all different stuff they offer. Kind of like a BIG Food for Less.
-
we waited for a parking spot around 2:00 yesterday afternoon, then there was no carts, when the hubby went in to look for one, he noticed that the lines were to the back of the store and decided we would not try it yet. Too bad I really wanted to use those great coupons.
-
can you use them at the apple valley store?
-
Nope. I think it was only for the Grand Opening this weekend.
-
You could use them in Apple Valley, but they expired yesterday.
-
I was there today and the crowd was not that bad. Lots of shopping carts and plenty of attentive workers to answer questions and help out. I don't mind bagging my own groceries either. Wish I had made it last weekend before the coupons expired.
I look forward to spending more time there. I liked the bulk food bins too. Can't beat those prices and neat stuff too.
-
Anyone notice the new WINCO add? The difference in the prices is crazy! I am gonna go and get my free OJ. ;D

Where do you find their ad?
-
Where do you find their ad?
I've gotten them in my mailbox, along with all the other throw-away grocery store ads. Just sift through the junk.
-
Hmmm, I get ads for Staters, Food4less, Vallarta and Jensens, but nothing from Winco, I wonder whats up with that? Thanks for the info ForestGal.
-
Next time I get one, I'll put it under your doormat. ;D
-
You people stay up too late. That's probably why you can't find the ads. ;)
-
The ad was in my PO box. I thought everybody got one. :-X
-
I got my ad but forgot to check their store hours. Do you happen to remember how late they were open?
-
I want to say 24 hours. I'm sure it would say online somewhere....

The big sign on their store says open 24 hours.
