Title: Fall Gardening
Post by: cdragonfly on Aug 09, 17, 08:41:10 PM
Does anyone know the average first frost date for here in Wrightwood? I want to start a Fall vegetable garden, but need this info!  Help!

Typically Halloween would be the date to figure the first frost or freeze.

I remember that in 2009, it froze the first week in October, but that was unusual.  Late October/early November is more typical, as The Boys Dad stated.

What kinds of veggies would work well for a fall garden?  Maybe I will start seeding for one also.

cdragonfly, I don't see a URL in your post.  I would be interested in reading it.

Hi Twinkie.  Sorry it has taken me so long to get this posted!  Here is the list of 21 vegetables to plant for fall harvest. They should be planted between now and the end of this month (August).
Enjoy!
