Hello,
My wife and I were thinking of buying another car as soon as out escrow closes and we get into WW. Right now we have the Honda Accord and I have a 4wd Chevy but with the weather I was thinking of buying a used 4wd or AWD vehicle instead of chaining up the Honda. Was thinking of a used Jeep Wrangler or a Subaru Outback since I have seen alot of those around town. How do they handle the weather and what else out there is everyone driving? Thanks
-
A light on its feet front wheel drive is my preference...I don't like noisy 4x4's the 362 days of the year when you don't need it or the mileage drop or the rough ride. In real deep drifts ,ground clearance is an issue...never really see it that much up here though.
I always like to tell this story to snow folks..When I worked at Mt Baldy we had to open up on a snowy morning ...one by one , I saw my co-workers spun out on the side of the road and stopped to pick them up in my Jeep Wagoneer...Toyota 4X4's, 2wd pick-ups (bottom of my list) , you name it.
While we were going through the S curves a front wheel drive Volkswagon rabbit passed us up with 3 girls in there , ski's sticking up,With the top down! Boy were those guys embarassed! LOL
-
I agree that even 4x4 and AWD can spin out if driven too fast. We have an AWD and 4x4. Typically AWD get better mileage than a 4x4 but mine is only AWD when one of the front tires start slipping and only going forward. In other words, AWD doesnt kick in when in reverse. The 4x4 we have have also have a ultra low drive for real deep snow or mud, similar to a tractor and since its similar to a tractor, it only works at real slow speed. Dont forget either can help to maintain surefootedness in the rain.
Lastly, get a vehicle with Antilock Braking System (ABS) which can really help on slippery roads when the other guy is spinning out in front of you.
-
I have a Subaru Forester and have been completely happy with the way it handles in the snow. It gets on average 25 MPG and it handles great for a box-shaped car. It has lots of room inside, too!
-
If you are thinking of a car that you can commute to the fire station in, your Honda will do just fine. I drove down the hill to my station for almost 30 years in a Honda Civic and put chains on once....that was because i couldn't get up my street because of the ice.
-
I've had good luck with my front wheel drive Sentra. Front wheel drive means the engine weight is in the front of the vehicle, hence better traction, and also that the drive wheels pull the car through the snow instead of plowing through it as in a rear wheel drive. Another really great thing we did is to buy Spider Spikes. They snap on in about 30 seconds and come off even faster. They're expensive but if they keep me and the wife out of the snow and out of the way of skidding flatlanders, it's worth it. I'd be happy to pass along the e-mail address if anybody is interested. (no, I'm not affiliated, just a satisfied customer) .................Praying for snow!
-
I was fine with my little front wheel drive Subaru until at coming back from work in late April, many years ago, the CHP decided to stop everyone and make them put on chains, which by the time I got on, they told me I could take off! Eek! Spider chains weren't an option then. I like my Subaru all wheel drive and feel it gives good traction in rainy weather as well as snow and ice (it isn't perfect for ice, but gives you a better chance that at least one or two drive wheels will be on pavement).
-
I have a front wheel drive volkswagen and I do just fine in the snow. I've put the cables on a few times, but only because of where our house is. It's also a diesel so I'm getting 45mpg. For when it's really bad.....we just stay home!
-
I agree, Subaru AWD is really GREAT up here.... No chains needed, and it really handles well.
-
I don't think I've ever heard a Subaru owner say anything but Glowing Reports on their cars handling in the Snow...
You guys don't have to go to meetings or anything , do you? ;D
-
Subaru really does have the AWD system perfected. I have a 1999 model I purchased new and I still have it. I bought a much larger Toyota recently and it is the primary car. During snow conditions the Subaru takes the primary role.
It is a superior bit of engineering and it is no surprise there are so many of them in cold country. Word of mouth is the best advertising.
-
Oh goody! I was planning on my next vehicle being a subaru. I can't decide if I want an outback or a forester. I have two labradors and have to think of things like dog crates fitting in etc. My concerns are ground clearance, inside space, and overall gas mileage.
-
K9luver,
I have a shepherd mix and a collie. They both fit comfortably in the back of the Forester. I think there is more room in the Forester than the Outback.
I put the dog gate in when I first got the car so they learned not to jump over the back seat. I recently took it out and they have never tried to jump on over.
The downside is you have a car that looks like a box ;D But I would give up aesthetics for practicality any day!
-
You cannot go wrong with the Forester. My wife loves ours and though it does look like a box it certainly does not drive like one. When you are in the driver's seat you would swear you were driving a sedan. We have the stick shift and have been getting around 26 mpg in all around driving, not bad for coming up the mountain. We also have a shepard mix and her and her crate fit in just fine. I think the higher roofline is a plus. As for ground clearance, we have a foot of snow on the ground and I did not bother to shovel the driveway out, just the berm and the Forester had no problem getting out.
-
Stay away from the small wheeled 4WD. I owned a 1987 Toyota Tercel with small wheels (and tires). I wouldn't go over the berms the snowplows leave all around Wrightwood. Get a 4WD with 15 inch wheels (old style tires) or something with equilavent diameter tires. Posi-traction isn't the complete answer in power-trains either. I had a Ford Bronco with posi-traction that did a 360 on Highway 2 one morning when one wheel hit solid surface with the other wheels on ice.
-
The downside is you have a car that looks like a box ;D But I would give up aesthetics for practicality any day!
Well, aesthetics are not a big issue with me considering most of my vehicles have been pickup trucks... ;D I have only owned two real "cars" my entire adult life ;)
And BB--I haven't owned an automatic in a personal vehicle since I sold my Ford Pinto in college over 20 years ago. I do hate having a stick when stuck in traffic down in the valley. But since I plan on leaving southern CA and going to less populated pastures, I think my next rig will be a stick also 8)
-
Good choice K9, I think people should not be able to get their driver's license, without knowing how to drive a stick. I think it makes them better drivers. I made sure I taught my son how to drive a stick when he was learning to drive and before he got his license. Both of the vehicles that he has owned have been stick shift.

WWPT Your correct on all counts. My last car was a 4 cyl. stickshift. I got 42 m.p.g. and 293,000 miles before the top end gave out. Also it had the factory starter, alternator and water pump. The only bad thing was that it was underpowered and boy did folks glare at me coming up Lone Pine :-\
-
Yes ..i still have a 1987 Mazda with a 4cyl motor...It's got 240,000 and just keeps on purring.
But I think I've had more horsepower in some vacuum cleaners I've owned..LOL Don't get behind me on LPC...I'll keep those speeders in check.
I'm looking for a new truck now...probably give the other one to a kid.
-
Before I had my current car I had a 1990 Jeep Cherokee. It ran great, no problems, was great in the snow, and it also had plenty of horsepower to get up to Wrightwood from the valley. If you get a SUV with a small motor, it won't do well coming up Lone Pine or 138. They made the Cherokee up until 2000. That's just my take on it.

The irony of this statement is that no doubt Hill Okie was driving within the speed limit. The glare should fall upon the law BREAKERS who go at Mach I.
-
Personal Preferance, I like the mileage of my Honda (36+). But I keep an old Toyota 4X4 to get out when the snow gets deep. Insurance is cheap (second car) registration is cheap (older vehicle) and I don't care if I bend or scratch it a little.
-
I love my Hummer H3. At about $40k, it is a great deal! I have taken it through snow, ice, and running water. Did I say I love it? J/K

Its got a standard power outlet like in the new tacomas. I love that power outlet in our truck!
Cool colors but dont like the white roof
Titanium Metallic with Dark Charcoal interior
Black Diamond with Dark Charcoal interior
Sun Fusion with Dark Charcoal interior
Black Cherry Pearl with Dark Charcoal interior
Voodoo Blue with Dark Charcoal interior
They start at $21,710
You could get almost 2 of them for the price of a H3 and and they will last alot longer 2 ;D
-
Yeah, at $21,00 it is affordable but with the price of gas the Prius and snow chains at the same price is also good.
-
After filling up with todays prices, I was wondering if Yugo came in AWD version? I know you can get one with a rear window de-froster....That's to keep your hands warm while you're pushing it. ;D
-
Start at $21,710? that is not too bad for a Toyota. How many does it seat?
It looks as if they might be going for that old "land-cruiser" feel. I loved my 2 toyota pick-ups. I had almost 300,000 miles on my '89 that I sold a couple of years ago.
-
That's exactly the reason for the white top. If you look at the front of this new FJ, it recalls the original 60's and early 70's Toyota Land Cruisers, before they went upmarket.
The underpinnings are the current 4Runner, a very capable off-road machine.
Here's a road test I found in Automobile magazine
http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews/suvs/0505_toyota_fj_cruiser/
Motor Trend had a similar article a few months back.
-
they start around 22K, but i bet you'll have a hard time getting one for that price. seems like the car dealers always add a bunch of stuff you don't need and jack the price up.
i love my Toyota PU, but it came with a clock that added 80 bucks to the price. that wouldn't be so bad but where they put it you need to look around the steering wheel to see it.

In 1999 I purchased a new Subaru Outback. I bought a Forerunner last year. Then I tried to put chains on the Forerunner. The Subaru will stay in the garage for Mammoth trips and driving to WW when the snow is deep.
-
The underpinnings are the current 4Runner...
Actually they're not. The concept car was, but they based the production more on the landcruiser frame. Go to the Toyota web site and there is a great virtual tour of the vehicle.
-
We love our Toyota Tacoma (4 wheel drive)...the current one we have is our second (had to get the crew cab for the kids)...it handles SO good in bad weather!
-
After filling the Titan up for 77 bucks, I decided to park it and went down to buy a '05 Kia Sportage. It's used with only 1800 miles on it. Bone stock for commuting only. It gets 27 to 30 mpg and I only paid 12,000 for it. The 1800 miles on the od is not a typo....lol.
They also gave me the 100,000 mile warranty on it. Not bad for a used car.

-
So that is Surfer_Dude's blue one over on the east side of town?
-
Yup! lol
-
I haven't been this excited about transportation since I got a Z-Flex skateboard in 78'.
-
lets go 4 wheelin'
-
-
Im sure you could take on angelwolf any day ;D
-
I'd be up for a little 4WD expedition where we could creep and crawl... I don't know if I can handle another "Ivan Stewart" outting.... ;D
Besides I have a 2000 Ford Explorer 4WD which ain't built for much abuse...
-
Surfer Dude,
Do you still have that Z-Flex board? I have my old school G&S Longboard, we can go carve down the streets sometime
-
What do you think of the Jeep Rubicon Unlimited... the newer ones 2005-2006? We are soon to purchase a new car and we are trying to figure out what would be the best car to have up here that would be great in the snow, mud, etc. but still be good on the highway.
-
Fj cruiser ;D
-
OMG....I forgot what it is like to drive a little 4 banger. Talk about slow. But i am sure the gas savings might be worth it....i think lol.
My Titan has 330 hp and the Kia about 140. I did not have the courage to pass on 138 tonite. Gonna have to get used to it I guess. :'(
-
Any news on the Hummer H4 Jeep Killer?
-
Funky Says: OMG....I forgot what it is like to drive a little 4 banger. Talk about slow. But i am sure the gas savings might be worth it....i think lol.
There's no replacement for displacement! Those slogans saying..."I wish I had a V-8" aren't for nothing. Just wish I could justify the gas mileage somehow....
-
When did i say that?
I think the guy down the street (Freighthauler) said that ;D
-
I knew it was one of you F guys ;D Sorry, I owe you a Banana.
I always liked "overpowered" Trucks... (I still wished I'd never sold my old '78 440 RamCharger) Seems you always found a use for them. I'm looking for a new truck now for a new job where I'll be commuting some 100 miles a day....And I've found myself trying to be sensible and get a big 4 cyl with a stick.
I've heard the new Ones (I think Chevy ?) were going back to the 4-6-8 cyl thing they did with Cadillacs back in the last gas crunch where they only run on 4 when your cruising but use all 8 when you start. Supposed to be highly improved from the old Caddy's.
Anyone own one or are thinking of it? Heard anything yet? How's the Mileage?
-
Speaking of V8s...I know someone who has a big 4x4 5.8l V8 Bronco they would let go......
-
Don't tempt me ...I love those old broncos as a mountain truck.
Maybe Those women were right....Send a man to the carlot for a 4 cyl Corrola and he comes home with a fire breathing gas guzzling V-8! ;D
-
Hey SD, were you able to wheel and deal on the FJ4 at all? I noticed on CarsDirect that they wanted $3000 over MSRP.
-
I used to work for Toyota just pm me if you want help, I could only get sticker.

They are easy to use, I still have an old set from my 98 GMC suburban in our garage! easiest chains to put on
-
-
Nope! The only thing i dont like about is the white roof! And don't talk about Surfer_Dudes fj like that >:( LOL ;D
-
-
you know, a great set of snow tires really makes all the difference.
they'll get you into town when the chp is making everyone put on chains. i have an old 4wd honda that'll eat the pants off of anyone's car in the snow. it's a beast!
-
I only bought the FJ because I couldn't get any of these in 4x4.

You forgot about the "Hornet!" .... LOL... ;D
-
My dad owned an Eagle!!
It was useless....he sold it after not too long.
I am sure the FJ would grow on me... it is just different, not what I would expect to see in a Landcruiser.

Is it just me, or is that the ugliest Landcruiser they have ever made?
It reminds me of some weird European vehicle.!
I thought about what you said Robilin; then what it reminded me of hit me...
I thought my car was real cool when I saw a crowd standing in line to look at it Lyttle Creek. Then I figured out what they were doing, good thing I had it locked. ;)
-
tooo funny! ;D
the blue one looks like a porta-jon!
the black one looks like a european cop car!
the yellow one looks like a taxi-cab
but I bet it is a neat car, anyways!
Do you take it off-road?

Hi Surfer Dude...
I love them FJ Cruisers you are a lucky guy ;)
I think I spoke to your wife about it at the hardware store a few weeks or so ago. I am pretty much a "BIG TRUCK" kinda girl. But, if I had the money I would not hesitate for a minute to buy an FJ Cruiser. Wise Choice! So many of the other SUV / Jeep type of vehicles look too similar & foo foo style in my opinion. This FJ Cruiser stands proud & tough lookin'! :2thumbsup:
-
I haven't taken it in "rough stuff" but I do go through the fire roads in Lyttle Creek all the time.
-
I only bought the FJ because I couldn't get any of these in 4x4.
I was in high school when my older sister came to visit in her pacer. My brother and I couldn't stop laughing. That had to be the UGLIEST car I'd ever seen.

Does anybody have any personal experience with a Nissan Xterra?
-
Clint I have an Xterra and LOVE LOVE It...... Any questions, lemme know....

General Comments
265 HP engine is way too much for the short-wheel base of this vehicle. Way too much torque. When you punch it, the steering wheel jerks a little, because it pulls way too hard too fast. My wife wrecked hers because of this. Would be ok for someone who wasn't a lead foot though. Lots of room in the back seat, and is the perfect vehicle for camping and playing around. Very tall interior. This is NOT a family vehicle. Big Tires are kinda loud, and it does ride a little more stiff than the Pathfinder. "

Its ruggedness, footsteps on the bumpers, tow bar, and lots of room in the back. And, the ease of taking out the back seats in 30 seconds!!"

A Nissan Xterra or a toyota 4runner will last for ever. the 2000-2004's xterras looked cool. 2005 + they now look like crap ;D Nice interor though ;)

Trying to change the frickin' oil!
All these newer vehicles are a pain to change the oil in. Its worth the money to have some one else do it. Just don't take a vehicle in to JiffyLube! You go in for an oil change and leave with a oil change, a new air filter that dosen't really need to be replaced a new hose that is leaking but it didn't leak when it went in. Oh and they didn't screw the oil filter on good. >:(
Ok back to the topic ::)

Consumer Reports new customer satisfaction survey for cars is out, as well as their car issue. If you don't have a subscription, try the library. You can also get an online subscription for a bit cheaper than the paper version. I got one several years ago, while I miss a lot because I don't check the site each month for the new issues (my bad), I also don't have to hunt all over the house to find the one issue I need. Nissan didn't do well in customer satisfaction in several categories.
Here's another site I used when I was looking last year. Also if you go to the Yahoo main page, select the Autos link, you'll find some more links for reviews, expert reviews, etc.
Are you looking for a car or truck?

Xterras do not have a short wheel base, i liked it and still do as the frame is from a truck not a car, therefore it is tougher than a typical suv
The engine is not too much for the frame, it is too less. I have a 2004, the 2005's have a better engine but i do not like the new body style.
This vehicle with off road tires can get thru anything. I have never been stuck, in snow, mud or dirt. It pretty heavy and well balanced so it does not tip when taking corners and it does not slide in the snow as the weight is well distributed. Tires do not wobble on fast take offs, sounds like that lady needed an alignment.
I have all my oil changed at a shop. My dad did the breaks once and they were a biatch. I have all work done at shops..
Plenty of room, i have had two kids 5 and 7, two adults and myself with luggage on a road trip and we did just fine.
Iif you are looking for good gas mileage, choose somthing else. it get's 18 if im lucky but i am a lead foot. if you get one, i suggest getting the one with the turbo to give you extra hp. i am going to put an aftermarket air coolling system on mine which should help. i have bigger tires (not a noise issue) which have taken a bit from the hp and the mileage.
The xterra is not fancy inside, it has all you need and nothing you don't.
If I had it to do over again, I would buy it all over.

One of my favorite winter passtimes (other than hiking) is driving around town and helping to pull people stuck in the snow drift along side of the road or can't make it up their street with my Dodge. I keep tow straps and a gear bag 24-7 in it and it hasn't let me down yet, and haven't found a vehicle I couldn't help.....yet. ::)
Last year I couldn't believe the two wheel drive cars and mini trucks trying to get around town without chains on iced up roads. Several victims where front wheel drives and AWD Subaru's...the most common. I think the key is driving expereience in the snow and slowing down.
If I where to suggest or reccommend a comfortable capable vehicle it would be the Toyota Tacoma or the Toyota FJ40. Not to take anything away from the Jeep Rubicon...it's by far the most capable but maybe not a practicle vehicle for most people.
If I come along, I'll be more than glad to pull anyone out....no charge, I enjoy it.
Here's a Pic from last year taking a break at my buddy's house.

Now that is a neat ride :o
I agree with AW the new body style isn't all that great.
AW you thought you got bad gas mileage. Look at toolmans ride... what do you get with it? 10? 12? mpg?
-
Milage isn't a concern for me since it only see's about 5k a year. It's a 1990 with 38k on the clock. As long as it does it's job that's all that matters.
My other truck is a 02'Silverado that gets 20 on the hwy. and just turned 18k. Most of my miles per year is on two wheels that gets 45 mpg. ;D
-
imma gonna "borrow" that hood ornament ;D
-
My 03 Dodge 3500 Cummins manual 6 spd trans gets 20 mpg if I am driving it... when my husband drives it he gets up to 24 mpg. I wonder why that is :fa-devilwink: That truck loves to be driven hard... it begs me for more! Isn't that what we buy trucks for? To work em?
It is a real good 4X4 too I have the Laramie 4X4 pkg. That diesel engine & the heavier 4X4 axle adds some weight which helps too. Limited slip is a GREAT option too.
-
Our 2005 tacoma double cab short bed 4x4 with Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires. It gets about 19-20mpg on the highway and it has 62k on it.
Thoes Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires are great Suv/ truck tires they are alot better than the BFG mud terrain tires. In the last couple of weeks I have had to buy two full sets of tires, one of the sets was for an AWD vehicle. I bought both sets at Mike's Tires, not only was he cheaper than the TireRack for the same brands, it was much more convenient than having the tires shipped to you and then having to schlep them somewhere to be installed. He was able to order and get the tires the same day and the service at his place was excellent, plus he does not charge for installation, which saves even more money.
Back on topic, my vote goes to Subaru.

There nice... I took a peak at the inside of one in a parking lot a while back and that 3rd windshield wiper is really cool... Only thing I don't like is the white tops.
Toyota is going to over take the ford f-150, Chevy Silverado 1500, and Ram 1500 with there new Tundra. That thing can haul 10,800lbs with the V-8 5.7L engine. Almost as strong at the ford f-250.
-
Toyota makes a limited edition that is all black Funky G. You are in!
The only down sides to it I have found are: space, (Xterra is better), blind spot backing up, and I like more front leg room. But that is only because I have driven full size trucks. I guess nothing can be perfect. I am going to install a back up cam.

Yea, we're looking at the new Tundra to replace my 02' Silverado. I love my Chevy but it's two wheel drive. I already had the Dodge Ramcharger that is built to use. We had a good look at the new Tundra and it's finally a full size truck. Kerin loves her 06' Tacoma, but it's to small for my liking and I need a full size bed. And with Toyota's reliabilty reputation, I'm sure they did their homework on that 5.7 380hp V-8. The Toyota rep we spoke to at the show was indicating pricing for the new Tundra will be competitive with Chevy, Ford, & Dodge in equal catagories of accessories. The tailgate is kinda cool, with it's hydraulic assist in both directions. Great if you have an arm loaded and need to lift the tailgate.
We're routing for a new brand this year in the Craftsman Nascar truck seies. ;D

...blind spot backing up.....
that is a pretty restrictive rear view for a potential off road vehicle.
i saw an FJ cruiser with about a 3" lift. it looked really cool.
-
Toyota makes a limited edition that is all black Funky G. You are in!
The only down sides to it I have found are: space, (Xterra is better), blind spot backing up, and I like more front leg room. But that is only because I have driven full size trucks. I guess nothing can be perfect. I am going to install a back up cam.
Xterra also has more horsepower, more torque, more towing capacity, and four real doors.

Here is a good article that puts the two vehicles in a close race:

We're routing for a new brand this year in the Craftsman Nascar truck seies. ;D
If you get a tundra I'm jealous ;D
Our 05 Tacoma has taken a beating! We have loaded the sucker up with 2,000 lbs of concrete many times and loaded it down with tons of ply wood sheets, and studs the only thing is I wished we got the long bed. We have broken one tail light and got a new one and got lens guards. Also the window has a crack in it. I can fit comfortably in the back seat and I'm no skinny bones kid. It also travels down 2 miles of rough dirt road every day. It now has almost 70,000 miles on it and its only 2 years old.

Keep the Honda! Nine years in Wrightwood as a commuter, Zero chain-ups, and yes I do live on a fairly steep road. Besides I like the 36+ miles per gallon while commuting! If the snow gets too deep you can always take the Chevy.

We have a GREAT used 4WD vehicle, and it's for sale! We have a 2002 Toyota Sequoia SUV - it's very comfortable, roomy (has 3rd row seats which you can flip up or take out and haul amazing amouts in the back). It's automatic, has XM stereo, power everything, tow package, great new tires, and is very comfortable and quiet for long trips. AND it's a Toyota, which means it is built to last! We really love it.
The only reason we are selling it is that we bought an RV, and need something we can tow behind it, so we ordered a 2007 Jeep. The Jeep is really a step down in comfort and space, and is noisy inside, but can be towed and has 4wd for the exploring we like to do.
The Sequoia really is a great vehicle - and new ones with 4WD and the features our has cost close to $40K!
Anyway, if anyone is interested in buying our Sequoia, here is the ad for it with photos: Cars.com: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?paId=219716020 (http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?paId=219716020) or Craigslist: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/car/269842455.html (http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/car/269842455.html)

(Sorry, John, if this isn't allowed! I was looking for classifieds, and I thought this forum might be a great place for someone new to appreciate our SUV! Let me know if there is a better place for me to do this - Maggie)

I expect Surfer Dude is going to be in trouble when his wife sees this video. Normally she will let him drive HER car only to Jensen's and this is waay past Jensen's!

Just wanted to say it was sold back when I advertised in January, since I got a PM on it today! We have a 2007 four-door Jeep Wrangler now - we like it a lot! We can tow it behind our RV, have taken it out, stock, on some great 4WD roads from Sedona to Moab to Colorado and all the way up to Alaska. It's quite a capable 4WD vehicle and has more room and rides more like an SUV than older Jeeps, plus we love the "Freedom" 3 piece hard top - it's super easy to take the front half of the top off, so when you are out among fantastic scenery with cliffs overhead, you don't have to miss anything! Note - the Jeep's not for sale! :)

If you are looking for the perfect all-wheel drive vehicle for Wrightwood, look no further. We are selling a 2005 Subaru Forester with only 41,000 miles that has been well maintained and driven mostly by a little
old young lady school teacher to Victorville. It has a manual transmission, so it is great on gas, 26-27 Mpg overall since we have owned it, which is great for an AWD SUV.
This Forester is silver in color and almost looks like it just came off the showroom floor, both inside and out. It has brand new 85,000 mile tires that were one of the highest rated for snow and ice and customer satisfaction. These tires come with the manufacturer's warranty for materials and road hazards. Besides looking great, it drives great and has never given us a problem and has never been in an accident. We also have all the maintenance records.
Here is a list of the equipment that it has:
Air Conditioning
Cruise Control
ABS (4-Wheel)
Power Steering
AM/FM Stereo W/Multi Compact Disc Player
Power Seat
Power Windows
Roof Rack
Power Door Locks
Dual Front Air Bags
Alloy Wheels
Tilt Wheel
Front Side Air Bags
Rubber Cargo Mat
Full-Sized Never Used Spare Tire
We are asking $13,900 OBO
Send me a PM if interested and I will get back to you.
Hurry before this cream puff is gone!

Hey Bob, you didn't mention it was the XS model/trim in your original post, so I assumed it was the "basic" X model.
(Makes a difference). Sorry.
Anyway, nice car. Good luck in selling it. :)

No worries, thanks!

FYI At a dealers auction it would bring between 11,700.00 and 14,300.00 so its not a bad price
