The other day I was reading in my bedroom with a desk lamp on for light. My neighbor started using a chainsaw to cut wood. Each time he started it, my lamp flickered. I checked to see where he had it plugged in and it was on his property. Why would my lamp flicker? ???

I once had a similar problem. I used a volt meter to check my wall plugs. The voltage should be 110-120, mine was a little over eighty. But armed with the information, I called the electric company and complained that if any of my appliances went out due to undercurrent, I would file to have them pay for them. The electric company came out three days later and put in a new transformer near my house.

Sounds like there isn't enough power going to both of your houses. Edison would be responsible for that problem. One solution is tell your neighbor to get a gas chainsaw. ;D The other would be to call edition. Don't let them push you around. Make sure they are going to really send someone out.
