BPSquirrel, my daughter's friend has been thinking about names for the past few days and has come up with Moppy and Skipper. She was thinking Moppy might make the goat look like a mop though LOL

This is Thomas, my rooster (1/2 Hawk and 1/2 Alaskan Grouse... actually part New Jersey Giant and Rhode Island Red) that weighed 45 lbs and was defending a plate Kiwi Fruit from the dog. The color in his eyes was reflected by the sun. (no Photoshop here) I couldn't show the whole picture because of what he was doing with his wings. He was my best rooster until he crossed the road one time too many times. No, really!

I can't blame the bear. (btw, it looks like a grizzly) He was basically just letting his captors know who's boss and that he wasn't happy.

Quite an impressive set of snapshots. It really goes to show no matter what, you must always keep in mind the wild nature of these animals. This was probably something they had done before without problems, and will probably do again. However, the comment about releasing on a bridge is a good one. It limits the escape routes the bear had. I wouldn't be surprised if the cage is modified to allow remote release.
Note to self: Make sure when bear releasing that I am wearing a hat that I don't mind losing.
