URGENT COMMUNITY UPDATE – Wrightwood Emergency Information
This is an official emergency message from Wrightwood CERT and the Wrightwood Community Services District (CSD). Please pass this message along to your neighbors who might not have access to internet or a computer.

We have been in direct communication with San Bernardino County Fire and the American Red Cross, and they have asked that the following information be shared immediately with residents:

Power Outage
Power is expected to remain out until at least Saturday, with the possibility of restoration extending into Sunday.

Highway Access
Highway 2 is currently open on both the west and east sides of town.
Important: Once you leave Wrightwood, you will not be allowed to return until an official notification is issued stating it is safe to do so. Please plan accordingly before departing.

Evacuation Assistance
An evacuation shelter has been established by the American Red Cross and San Bernardino County at the Victorville Fairgrounds. Food and water will be available at this location.

Weather Advisory
The next 18 hours are expected to be stormy and rainy. If you are able to evacuate now, County Fire strongly recommends that you do so.

Water Safety Notice
Wrightwood does have running water. As a precaution, all water must be boiled before use, following standard boiling-water safety practices.

Emergency Calls
In the event of an emergency, please call 911. Calling 911 ensures your situation is documented, tracked, and responded to as quickly as possible.

We understand this is a stressful time and appreciate your cooperation and patience. Please continue to monitor official communications from Wrightwood CERT, Wrightwood CSD, and San Bernardino County Fire for updates.
Stay safe and look out for one another. Wrightwood STRONG!

I talked to SCE around 6:00 am because I could not find the outage.  No estimated time to repair.

Has anyone seen the substation on the east side of town?  I'm wondering if the flood got it.

Does anyone know if they’re allowing residents to return if we leave? I live in West Cajon and with the 138 closed, im afraid they won’t let me come back.

From Edison's outage website (https://www.sce.com/outages-safety/outage-center/check-outage-status), they don't seem to have updated the status for Wrightwood outages recently.

Outage 800485588 started at 2:06pm due to "Equipment Problems" and affects 11 customers. It is listed that it was reported, the cause was determined, and crews were working on fixing i ist.  The last update was 5:26pm, indicating that most affected people should have power back by 8:00pm. (Time of writing this post is 8:40pm)

The second outage in Wrightwood is 800485556 and affects over 2000 customers, which is probably most or all of town. It started at 4:30pm, and the most recent update is listed at 7:00 pm, and it just says "Analyzing problem" but does not list workers arriving or fixing...but somehow had an estimated fix for most customers by 7:30pm.  (time of this post and my last check of SCE's site roughly 8:40pm)

As of 9:50pm, Edison hasn't updated the smaller outage since 5:26pm ...still says that work is being performed and most are expected to have power by 8pm today (Xmas Eve)

For the larger outage covering most of Wrightwood (800485556), there was an update at 8:45 PM saying there is no estimated time for a fix (previously the estimate was 7:30pm). The reason is listed as "equipment problem"...but the progress details still only say that the outage is reported and an investigator is on the way....status says that determining the cause has not started....status says work crew transit has not started.

I see that now... well heck, maybe its open again. It was apparently closed at the 138 and at the top for a while

Lone Pine Canyon heading to/from 138 is marked as closed again, as-of now.
