    Great article with awesome view pictures. There's another article about "Revenge of the girly man " chute skiing off of Baldys southeast face that was equally facinating.

I just read the "Revenge of the girly man".  You're right, the article was every bit as facinating.  It really shows how tough & rugged the San Gabriel mountains are.  It appears in both articles the skiers were doing the trip solo.

   My legs started hurting just looking at the pictures of some of those ascents. I wonder who took the pictures?

With just the one set of tracks coming down I'd say the author took the pics..   Looks like a lot of fun!
