I going to die as a skier and I dont give a frick what anyone thinks about that.   The idea of falling on your butt or on your face while boarding does not appeal to me at all plus the fact that due to boarding posture, they have a blind side that I need to account for so they dont hit ME.  Lastly a great number of them face downhill while strapping up (in multitudes) which makes for insurpassable wall.  Bring back the skier exclusive mountain! >:(

Actually, skiing may making a bit of a comeback.
For the first time in years, the local ski/snowboard race team has more skiers than boarders. More kids seem to want to learn to ski than in recent years.
We'll see.

My son and I were up at East the other day.  He saw a snowboarder with a sticker on his board.  The sticker had a profile of a skier in black, with one of those red, cross-out circles over it.
He asked me "Dad, what does that mean?"
I told him "Son, that means he can't ski!"
