I have two spaces left in a Wilderness First Aid class this next weekend, Nov 7 and 8. The class is through the Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) and is the best first aid class that you can take that teaches you real skills. Skills you can use when out in nature or during a major disaster. No previous first aid certification is required. If you currently have a Wilderness First Responder certification you can renew it in this class.
The class will be held near Big Bear. Lodging is available at a very low price. The two day hands-on workshop is $190. Bunk lodging in a very nice dorm is just an additional $20.
