County Shooting Map - pretty soon now

According to this article, agreement has been reached on the areas displayed in this map, and the Board of Supervisors will vote to finalize it Aug. 10th.
I just learned recently that target shooting - even last-minute sighting-in of a hunting weapon - isn't allowed in hunting areas.  So remember, casual target shooters - shooting and hunting areas are likely to be different.  The map being reviewed now has some of the regulations about shooting printed on it.  At last!

Desert Marksman shooting range is a great private, professionally run shooting / target / training facility located at the intersection of Angeles Forest Hwy. and Mt. Emma rd. It's only 50 min. from WW. Very affordable and great family oriented members as well as National events held there open to members to participate and spectate. Camping overnight is permitted as well.

Well, if it has been approved, I still can't find it on the SBCounty website.  Searches for "shooting map", "shooting area map" come up empty.  Search for "map" brings up a bunch of different maps, but not the shooting area one...

Thanks John!  I don't know why it didn't show up in my earlier searches, I guess I don't understand the county website.

For what it's worth (or FWTW) , the original map size is 36" x 25".  Printing it out on anything smaller makes the detail unreadable, so it may be easier to find the map at the appropriate retail or county locations.

It's out at last - the official Recreational Shooting and Hunting Area Map!  County's Fish and Game Commission has released it, and are selling paper maps from their office at 157 W. 5th St., San Bernardino, on the second floor.  Their price is $2.00, and in addition to recovery of printing costs, the money will help fund wildlife and community programs in SB County.   Also, an online pdf version of the map is available at:
http://www.specialdistricts.org/2/FishandGame/
using the links under the "Information" section.  The phone at Special Districts Dept. is:  909-387-5940 , and the office address above is between Mountain View Ave. and Sierra Way.  With all the construction, it may be easier to exit the freeway at Second St., and come back north 3 blocks to Fifth.  Watch out though - the construction is moving all the time!
