I've never seen them at any book stores.... but that doesn't mean they don't have them. Don't know how far you are from HRO in Anaheim, but they definitely will have them. You may as well look at base antennas while your there.  ;)

BTW, I remembered who Dan G. was. He use to ride bikes around P.V. in our group of riders.

May have to bite the bullet and make the drive to HRO.

Yeah, that's him. He said he worked in the labs around 1996.

And on a completely unrelated note, I have another project to pull wire through conduit to my home office (need to add an extra circuit since the bedroom lights flicker when I print in the office), and I added an extra black wire at the last minute. After all, you never know when the need for 240V in the home office will arise!  ;D

Perfect, now you can run a big boy HF amplifier when you upgrade for HF privileges. Anything under 100 watts is QRP  ;D

Congrats Brian, I know I love having my radio with me when I go on rides. It's always nice to have an extra form of communication just in case. I'll look forward to hearing you on the radio.

Once your new callsign is posted, tuned to our repeater (W6CPD) on 147.225, - shift, 156.7 tone any Sunday evening at 8pm for our weekly net.

Thanks Bob, by the way, where is that repeater located? I tried tuning in last night and didn't hear anything, it must be on the other side of the hills from me.

Congrats Brian !

Never know were you'll find me  ;)

Low bands mostly, at the bottom end, away from the nets chasing DX

440  in the flat lands or 2mtr 380 PV machine and the 220 link.

Yup, we're on the other side ;     You may be totally blocked at your location.
Repeater is just NE of the 15/91 interchange.

Normally monitor the department but will listen in on Keller when possible.
