So two guys try to do a good thing and voluntarily clear brush up on trail (something they had voluntarily done before), only to make an error in judgement and find themselves potentially financially ruined? Not sure I'm a fan of the outcome. If they were up there in a commercial capacity I would completely agree, but they way they pursued them seems a few steps beyond harsh. And then to find Stihl liable is iffy as well.
I recall an individual voluntarily cleaning up a fallen tree on a Wrightwood trail not lot ago. A don't recall anything but thanks directed his way....as it should be.
