"To celebrate the occasion, Mammoth has announced a new season pass that includes unrestricted access to all four mountains at the discounted rate of $689 for adults. The new Cali4nia Pass will go on sale at the Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails event at Bear Mountain this Saturday, September 27 and will then be available online for a limited time only"

It may not work out well for the Town Of Mammoth Lakes in a low snow year.

SoCal Mammoth pass holders who would normally go to Mammoth might decide to save a few bucks on fuel and lodging and go to Snow Summit which has become known for having excellent snow coverage due their availability of water from the lake and high tech snow making systems.  The price of the pass is nothing compared to the expense of fuel, vehicle wear & tear, and food and lodging.  The people who really scored on MMSA purchasing Bear & Summit are Bear & Summit pass holders who take a few trips to Mammoth a year.  Now they save the expense of having to purchase lift tickets. IMO

Yes Skier Bob, especially since last year's price was $99/day.  And they have not posted this year's price.  Bet it is over $100.  We only go once a year for a few days, so their specials don't pay off for  us.

Since Mammoth owns practically everything in So Cal, the real question is:

Will Mammoth look to buy Mt. High?  Will Mt. High be amenable their offer?

Frankly, I would love my season pass to be good everywhere...to dream the impossible dream, to fight the unbeatable foe, to...  :)
