We gave Gambel's Quail here in Yucca Valley. We also have 2 big China Berry trees in the yard. When I am out watering in the evening, I watch the quail fly up into these trees to roost everynight. They are quite comical to listen to. They bicker and squawk and then as if they all agree, they go completely silent.

However, I have never been attacked by the birds. OK..

This is do-able if an animal attacks you, except maybe a bear.

Might work if you grab a handfull of the bears' walnuts and squeeze really hard.

My daughter spotted a coyote this morning going down twin lakes from lone pine and 10 minutes later heard what sounded like a small dog being attacked so watch out for your small pets!

Not good to be leaving small animals out.
Please take care of your babies. The coyotes are in town. Heard them last night...packs of them singing.

I hear them all the time. My tiny baby is out right now, I need to go fetch her back in. But I have to let her out to go potty......

OK, Heidi is back in, and in my lap right now. How can an animal this tiny, bring so much love into a home?
